The Vinton Dogwood Festival, now in its 61st year, is the pre-eminent annual event for the Town of Vinton and the Roanoke Valley. As a nonprofit, community-focused organization, the Vinton Dogwood Festival provides free family entertainment for the community while promoting Vinton and Roanoke Valley businesses.
The festival opens with a Carnival Midway on Wednesday, April 27, providing entertainment for kids and adults alike. Live entertainment is held nightly on the Main Stage and has included local and national artists. Dogwood Saturday, April 30, features a 5K run/walk, craft, food and retail vendors, entertainment stages, a free Kids' Zone, the crowning of the Vinton Dogwood queen and much more. The annual Dogwood Festival Parade steps-off at 2:30 p.m. at the Vinton War Memorial, and the Carnival Midway stays open until 11 p.m. with live entertainment on the Main Stage.
